The Bakersfield Californian February 8, 2011 Kenneth Jackson Hart Ken Hart was born in Pontiac, MI to Carl and Mary Hart on June 26, 1945 and grew up in Michigan. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating from high school, and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. He served one tour of duty in Vietnam in 1965-1966, and was wounded twice and awarded the Purple Heart, along with the Good Conduct, National Defense Service, Armed Forces Expeditionary and Vietnam Service medals. After his discharge, Ken tended bar for almost 30 years in Bakersfield. He was known for his sense of humor and his continued love for The Marines and his country. Funeral services will be 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Bakersfield National Cemetery. Ken Hart is survived by his brother Rick Hart of Rochester Hills, MI; step brothers Ron White of Birmingham MI and Wendell White of Canadian Lakes, MI; son and grandson Tim and Daniel Casey Hart of Stevenson Ranch; daughter Kathy Autwell of Bakersfield; and is preceded in death by parents Carl and Mary Hart, step-mother Teresa Hart, stepbrother Eudell White and stepsister Glendolia Cedlillo.
