Timothy Joe Sweaney
1950 ~ 2011

Tim was born in Taft, CA and lived in Bakersfield, CA.

He served in the Army, and worked as a heavy equipment operator for 35 years.

Over the years Tim loved to take his family fishing, rafting, and camping. Tim had an unforgettable smile and a great sense of humor.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Retta; sons, Bryson and Jason; daughter, Cassie; grandchildren, Caden, Bailey, Branson, and Kelsi Jo; brothers, Gary, Stan, Greg, Jeff and Scott; and loving sister, Judy Hall.

Tim was diagnosed with untreatable cancer and fought a short battle. God embraced him out of his home on March 12, 2011 at the age of 61, surrounded by his wife and sons. He will now spend an eternity riding his Harley in paradise with his preceded buddies.

Services will be held on Friday, March 18th at 10:00 a.m., at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, CA 93203. Flowers can be sent to Kern River Family Mortuary, 1900 N. Chester Ave, Bakersfield, CA. 93308.
