© The Bakersfield Californian 4 September 2003 5 September 2003 Fluvia Jan Kessler Fluvia Jan Kessler was born November 11, 1931, in Brookhaven, Mississippi and passed away unexpectedly September 1, 2003, in Delano, Calif. Jan is survived by her husband of 42 years, Elmer, her sons Dale and wife Michelle, David and wife, Trulie. She is also survived by her sister, Maydee Fields and her brothers Charles, Norman, Jerry and Larry along with one grandchild. Jan was a teacher of Physical Education at Delano High School for 26 years. An avid golfer, she will be missed by many who knew her and loved her. Visitation will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Home, 1303 Glenwood Street, Delano, Calif. Funeral Service will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. at The First United Methodist Church, 1002 11th Avenue, Delano, Calif. Pastor Scott Allred will officiate. Burial will follow at North Kern District Cemetery. The family would like you to join them at the American Legion Hall, 729 Kensington, Delano after the service from 3:00 until 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the City of Hope, P.O.
