© The Bakersfield Californian Sunday, 14 October 2007 Timothy James "Timbo" Cote Tim "Timbo" Cote passed away on October 8, 2007, after a motorcycle accident in Bakersfield, CA. He was born on June 4, 1955 in Santa Barbara, CA. His family lived in Southern California until 1968, and then moved to Grand Junction, Colorado, where they bought a small ranch. The family returned to California and settled in Ventura County. Tim joined the Navy in 1972 and served on the USS Coral Sea and USS Monticello in the Pacific. In 1994 Tim and his son moved to Bakersfield. After the Navy, Tim became a Waukesha mechanic and worked on large engines for over 29 years. Tim was born to be a mechanic; he started working on engines when he was 5. He had special talent for diagnosing and fixing problems. Tim was a great guy, dedicated father, hard worker, and good friend. He loved motorcycles, travel, and fishing. He is survived by his son, Benjamin of Bakersfield; mother, Anita of Ventura; sister, Chris Cote, and brother~in~law, James Ring of Ventura; 2 aunts and numerous cousins in the Midwest. Visitation is from noon to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, at Greenlawn Southwest, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17.
