Mary De La Garza
1960 - 2004

Visitation for Mary De La Garza will be held at Basham Funeral Care (3312 Niles Street) on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Thursday morning, December 15, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery.

Mary was born September 20, 1925 in Goliad, Texas and she passed away December 11, 2005 in Bakersfield, California with her family by her side.

Mary is preceded in death by her daughter, Ofelia Amaral. She is survived by her husband, Raymond De La Garza; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Willie Lopez; son, Raymond De La Garza Jr.; grandchildren, Tony Barrera, Priscilla Barrera-Eaton and husband Kevin, Veronica Amaya and husband Jesse, Michael Akins, Gabriel Lopez, David Amaral, Chris Amaral, Crystal Amaral, Sarah Lopez; sister, Susie Ceballos; sister, Beatrice Garcia; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was loved by all that knew her and she will be deeply missed.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Eaton, David Amaral, Tony Barrera, Gabe Lopez, Chris Amaral, Michael Akins, Anthony Barrera and Jesse Amaya.

Grandma, it broke our hearts to see you go, but you did not go alone. A part of all of us went with you the day He called you home. You always told us, My God will never abandon me. Now we must put our faith in Him, that He will see us through our pain, until the day our family is whole again, the day we are together in Heaven.
