Thomas R. Keith
1942 - 2007

HE MADE A DIFFERENCE

Born in Kentucky, Tom moved to West Virginia with his mother and father, Coppery, "C.P." Keith, and Julia Keith where he attended West Virginia University.

At age 20, he joined the U.S. Army. After many achievements he was honorably discharged in 1964 and returned to West Virginia where he soon after met his wife, Margaret, with whom he was happily married for 42 years.

In 1968 they moved to San Jose, California with Margaret's two children to start their new life.

Tom began a long and successful career with P.G.&E, eventually working his way up to upper management and leading him to a promotion which prompted a move to Bakersfield, CA, where he assumed the position of Kern Regional Support Services Manager until his retirement in 1993.

Not content to sit on his laurels, Tom put his experience to use and accepted the position of Support Services Manager for Kern Regional Center, a position he held until his full retirement at the age of 62.

Tom had several hobbies, which he enjoyed for the few short years of his retirement.

He was preceded in death by both his mother and father and is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sisters, Virginia and Shirl; his four children, Debi, Tony, T.C., and Shelly; and six grandchildren, Hillary, Austin, Chantelle, Savannah, Maddison and Zachary.

He will be truly missed and loved forever.

Viewing will be from 3-8 p.m., Thursday, October 4, and services will be at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary, on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Friends and loved ones are very welcome to attend both events.
