Ann Louise Kellenberger
1961 - 2007

Ann was born in Salem, Oregon to Lonnie Robert and Harriet Louise Kellenberger.

She moved to Bakersfield in 1971 with her parents, brother and sister. She attended Harris Elementary, Curran Junior High and graduated from Bakersfield High School with honors in 1980.

Ann worked in a nursing home, in home health care and for many years as a life skills instructor for Good Shepherd Home for disabled adults.

One of the highlights of her life was the year she spent in Philadelphia living in a convent and working with the sisters as a home health aide in the poor sections of Philadelphia.

She enjoyed drawing and painting and several of her original art pieces decorated her living area. Numerous activities with her 3 nephews also brought her great joy.

Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ethel and James Campbell; grandparents, Merle and Alfred Kellenberger; and her brother, Jack.

She is survived by her parents, Lon and Harriet Kellenberger; her brother, Thom Kellenberger; sister, Sarah Sharp and brother~in-~aw, Don Sharp; nephews, Kegan and Daylan Sharp; sister~in~law, Ann Marie Kellenberger; nephew, Bryce Kellenberger; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Hill and the caring staff at the Kaiser Permanente Ming Clinic, the staff at the Kaiser Permanente Stockdale Clinic, and Dr. Tommy Lee and his staff at Golden Empire Cardiology.

Although she had debilitating congenital heart condition, she had a never~ending compassion and love for family and friends. She kept her sense of humor even when very ill. She had great courage and still had plans for the future up into the last. She is now at peace with God.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 27th, at 8:45 a.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Dennis Hilken from St. John's Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 27th, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 7100 Stockdale Highway conducted by Monsignor Ronald Swett.
