Roy "Pap~Pah" Cramer
Visitation begins today Wednesday, January 23, 4~8 p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary. Services will be held Thursday, January 24, 1:00 p.m., in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel.
Roy Cramer passed quietly on January 20, 2008 with family by his side. He was 83.
He was born on February 2, 1924 in Stuebenville, PA to Elroy, Sr. and Jenny.
He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII, stationed with the 1st Armored Division in Africa and Italy. In 1959 he married Dorothy Semchak in Wilmerding, PA. They moved to Delano, CA in 1960; then, to Bakersfield where their daughter Kimberley was born.
Roy worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 21 years and retired in 1981. He served as Commander of American Legion Postal Post 717.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife in 1987.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kimberley and her husband, Douglas Hulsey; grandson, Brian Hulsey; granddaughter, Christina McCormick and husband, Michael; great grandson, Brandon McCormick; honorary grandchildren, Jon and Brittney Hulsey; and, sister, Dorothy Edwards. Pap~Pah was always there for his grandkids' activities. He was their number one supporter and biggest fan. We will miss you, Pap~Pah.
