Last Rites Held for Mrs. Rodgers

Funeral services were held today at the Church of Christ of Shafter for Dora Belle Rodgers, 78, of 424 so. Shafter Ave who died July 17 at her home. Mrs. Rodgers had been a resident of Shafter for the past 30 years after coming to this area from the mid-west.

Officiating at the service was Mr. Richard Monrow and Mr. B.L. Bedwell and interment followed in the Shafter Cemetery.

Mrs. Rodgers is survived by two sons, C.M. Rodgers and R.W. Rodgers both of Shafter; one daughter, Bessie Brooks of Shafter; two brothers John Wylie and S.W. Westbrook, both of Shafter; two sisters Ella Gordon of Indahoma, Okla. and Mrs. Lizzie Cody of Ringold, Okla, 21 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Armstrong Mortuary had charge of all arrangements.
