© Tehachapi News Monday, 21 May 2007 John Riley Hutson John Riley was born June 8, 1917 in Princeton, Texas and died May 14, 2007. He came to Arvin in 1940 and worked for DiGiargio Farms. He served in the army during World War II. In 1949 he moved to Tehachapi and worked as an electrician for Monolith Cement Company until his retirement. After his retirements, he and his wife spent their winters in Havasu Landing, fishing and enjoying their many friends, "The Tehachapi Snow Birds," who also wintered there. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ethel Jewel Hutson, and their son, Ervin Glen Hutson. He is survived by his two daughters, Helen LaRue Frahm and Mary Kay Jones, of Tehachapi; grandchildren Kenny James, Kristi Cowee and husband Don, Kari Sorenson and husband Ron, Keith James, Jeffrey Jones and wife Keren, Dianna Gutierrez and Elizabeth Goodspeed. His great grandchildren are Garrett James, Taylor James, Logan James, Alyssa Cowee, Rheanna Cowee, Hailey Sorenson, Alan Sorenson, Jon Goodspeed, Megan Goodspeed, Jessica Goodspeed, Joel Gutierrez, Hannah Gutierrez and Jacob Jones. Private services and interment were held Monday, May 21 at Tehachapi Public Cemetery-Eastside. Wood family Funeral Service, Inc. handled the arrangements.
