© Tehachapi News Monday, 8 October 2007 Margaret "Peggy" [Dickerson] Pedigo A service and gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Peggy will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, in Golden Hills, Meadowbrook Park, at 10:30 a.m. Peggy was born July 6, 1916 to Evard "Dick" and Hazel Dickerson of Tehachapi. She attended local schools and L.A. City College. She married Lloyd Pedigo in Beaver, Utah in 1937. They resided in Tehachapi, assisting her parents with the dairy and cattle ranch, Meadowbrook Farm, on the site of the current park. During the war years, she was proud of doing her part working at the RR depot and a gas station. They built the family home on East F St. in 1945. After Lloyd's death at age 51, she worked for many years in the school cafeterias, where she loved being around students and the faculty, doing extra baking and helping with the band and sports programs. She loved the mountains, camping, traveling, all things to do with science, geology and flying. She was a loyal and true friend to many with a great sense of humor. She is survived by her children, Margaret and husband Kay Wrye of Murrietta, Calif. and Donald and wife Linda Pedigo, of Bakersfield; grandchildren, David Aronson, Karen and husband Bill Click, and Ryan Pedigo; great-grand-children James and Josh Click; Sister - in - law Rena Dickerson and family, Phyllis Schmidt, Susan Oswalt, Nancy Potter, and Bob Dickerson, their spouses and children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lloyd, her parents, her brother John Dickerson, and sister Betty Schnabel. She was a beautiful, loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother - in - law. We celebrate her life. Wood Family Funeral Service, Inc. handled the arrangements. Private interment at Tehachapi Eastside Cemetery to be held on Oct. 13. Margaret "Peggy" [Dickerson] Pedigo, July 6, 1916 ~ Aug. 31, 2007
