Max T. Reed, Jr.
1949- 2007

Graveside funeral services were held in the West Side District Cemetery on Friday morning, June 15 for Tehachapi resident, Max T. Reed, Jr., 58. Pastor Floyd Jordan, of New Life Community Foursquare Church, officiated at the service.

Mr. Reed was born in Taft on March 29, 1949 and passed away in Bakersfield on June 11, 2007.

He was raised and educated in Taft and graduated from Taft Union High School in 1967.

Mr. Reed married and had a family in Taft and later moved to Bakersfield and then settled in Tehachapi.

His survivors include his three children that he loved dearly: Candace Smith and family, Kristina Holland and family and Jeffrey Reed and family. He is also surved by his sister and brother-in-law, Candace and Wallace Soule of Bakersfield; his fiancee, Candy Tholen and her daughter, Christy Tholen and a close cousin, Shelly Gotcher and family.

The services were under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
