Josephine "Joyce" Mildred [Krawiec] Stewart
1921- 2007

Josephine "Joyce" M. Krawiec Stewart was born August 2, 1921 in Chickopee Falls, Mass. to Joseph and Agnes Krawiec. She attended St. Stanislaus Church and School in Chickopee.

She met her husband of 55 years, Harold Eugene Stewart Sr., on Easter Sunday, March 25, 1951, and they were married the following year on March 18, 1952 in Bel Aire, Md.

Joyce was quite proud of her pure Polish heritage. She adored Wayne Newton and was delightfully surprised to meet him at a concert on her and Harold's 50th wedding anniversary. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Veterans Hall and was loved and cherished by family and friends alike.

Joyce passed from this life on July 8, at the age of 85, after spending a wonderful day visiting with her family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Harold, of Tehachapi; sons Gene Stewart, of Tehachapi, and Jeff Stewart and beloved daughter-in-law, Susie, of Bakersfield; granddaughters, Lindsey Plein and Morgan Stone; and two great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed.

Graveside services were held, Thursday, July 12, at Tehachapi Public Cemetery Eastside. The service was conducted by Deacon Richard Lambert of St. Malachy Catholic Church. Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
