Dorothy "Dottie B" Willard
1917- 2007

Dorothy Willard, known to many of her friends as "Dottie B," and a long-time Tehachapi resident, passed away on April 23.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Clyde, of Tulsa, Okla., and her son, Ralph Barker, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 1, at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery-Eastside at 1 p.m.

Ms. Willard, of Irish heritage, grew up in Texas, but moved to California in the 1940s with her husband at the time, Ralph Barker, Sr.

In the 1970s, she moved to the Tehachapi area with her husband, Earl Willard.

She spent many years in the women's apparel business in Bakersfield, and worked for a number of years at the Roundup Cafe on East Tehachapi Blvd. She'll be missed by her family and those who knew her.

Father Wes Clare of St. Jude's in the Mountains Episcopal Church will officiate the service. Wood Family Funeral Service, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
