Joan Marie "Joanie" [Waldrip] Aldridge
1951 - 2005

Joan Marie Aldridge was born December 1, 1963 in Wasco, California to James and Leta Mae [Frantz] Waldrip.

Joanie attended Wasco elementary schools and graduated from Wasco Union High School with the Class of 1981. She went on to graduate from business college in Fresno.

Joanie worked for Production Credit in Wasco and Glendale Savings and Loan in Bakersfield.

She was a stay at home mom for the last 10 years and loved taking care of her daughter.

Joanie was an organizer and made lists and very meticulous notes. This trait came in handy when Joanie would accompany family members to doctor's visits and she was able to help them remember instructions.

Joanie drew close to the Lord these last 5 years and it made a big change in the way she lived her life. Joanie's friends remembered her always saying, "Forgive and let the Lord take care of it."

Joanie loved and was greatly loved by her family, including her daughter, Natalie; parents, James and Leta Mae Waldrip of Wasco; brother, Gerald Waldrip and wife, Carolyn of Bakersfield; sister, Marilyn Dougherty and husband, Mark of Idaho; nieces, nephews and many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and 1 brother, Timothy who passed away in 1962.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Assembly of God Church, Wasco for Joanie Aldridge, age 44, of Bakersfield who passed away December 6, 2007, in Delano. Pastor Wayne Thomas and Pastor Roger Story will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Monday, December 10, from 2~8 p.m., at Peters Funeral Home.
