Betty [Merz] Bolin
1930- 2008

Betty Bolin passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2008.

Betty was born January 30, 1930 in Wasco to Martin and Eula Merz.

After graduating high school she married Dee Bolin in 1948.

Betty was a loving mother, friend and teacher. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the first graduating class of CSUB. She taught 3rd grade in Lost Hills for 20 years and worked as secretary for the family farm.

She enjoyed reading and being a Cub Scout Den Mother for all of her children. She loved watching sports and was a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan. She enjoyed spending time at their beach house in Cayucos and she especially enjoyed the 4th of July celebrations.

We will miss all the good times and long talks we shared with her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Eula Merz and her brother, Frederick Merz.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dee; sons, Randy of Wasco, Barry of Bakersfield and Mark and wife, Jody of Wasco; brothers, Robert Merz and wife, Donna and Dan Merz and wife, Joan; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 16, at 10:00 a.m., at Wasco Memorial Park for Betty Merz Bolin, age 78, of Wasco who passed away January 12, 2008, in Wasco. Pastor Wayne Montgomery will officiate and interment will follow.
