Oscar William Semar
1893 - 1964

Oscar William Semar - The Rev. Ted Mouser will officiate at funeral services for Oscar William Semar, 70, at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert L. Jones - Wasco funeral Home.

Mr. Semar was born in St. Louis, MO, Aug. 29, 1893 and had lived in Kern County 15 years and in California 38 years.

He died in a Bakersfield hospital Saturday.

For many years he had operated his own cafe.

He was a veteran of World War II, having enlisted in 1917 in Miami, Okla. in the Quartermaster Corps.

Two brothers survive, Lee and Clarence Semar of Bakersfield; and four sisters, Mrs. Dave Marler, Mrs. Leola Moors, Mrs. Edith Dragoo and Mrs. Furman Coleman, all of St. Louis, MO.

Interment will be in Wasco Cemetery.
