Jones "Harvey" will be held in the Basham Funeral Care Chapel (3312 Niles Street) on Friday morning, December 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. A viewing will precede the service at 9:00 a.m. Harvey will be interred at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, CA. Harvey was born June 3, 1925 in Los Angeles County and he passed away in Bakersfield on December 22, 2007 at the age of 82. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Veda Jones; brother, Marvin Jones and his nephew, Russell Jones. He is survived by his brother, Stanley Jones; sister, Beatrice Smith; brother~in~law, Robert Smith and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Having never married and without children of his own, he was a very special "uncle" to his many nieces and nephews. Our family would like to say a heartfelt "thank you" to Bucky Hussein and his staff at Silvercrest Manor for the loving care they have given Harvey the last two years. Also, to the wonderful ladies at Hoffmann Hospice, "You have been a real blessing to us this past month."
