Patricia L. Brady
1938 ~ 2009

Born in Twin Falls, Idaho, Pat Brady's early years were nomadic as her family moved from city to city throughout the Midwest before she married and settled in California's Mojave Desert in the late 1950's.

Pat raised her four children in Boron, CA and embarked on a twenty-five year career in human resources with U.S. Borax after which she served two exciting years as the Human Resources Director for the Los Angeles Opera.

Pat retired to Merced in 2003 to be near her sisters. She fell in love with her adopted hometown and spent her "golden years" tending to her garden and reveling in the worship and welcoming embrace of the Merced United Methodist Church.

Pat is survived by daughter Debra Brady and her husband Stephen Veglia of Modesto; son Mathew Brady and his wife Shannon of Bakersfield; daughter Rhonda Gordon and her husband Mike of Phoenix, AZ; son Bryan Brady and his wife Maria of Chandler, AZ; nine grandchildren: Katherine, Kelly, Grant Taylor, Dylan, Nicholas, Erika, Jacob and Alexis; sister Gail Bonham of Merced; brother Michael Page of Mt. Vernon, Il.; half-sister Delores Lucas of Illinois; nephew Ralph Rush of Chicago; niece Kathy Steinman of Merced; and Kathy's daughters Rhonda and Candice.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Plainsburg Cemetery followed by a Memorial Worship Service at 11:00 a.m. at Merced United Methodist Church, 899 Yosemite Park Way, Merced CA 95340 with a luncheon reception in Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to: Wesley Foundation Merced, 899 Yosemite Park Way, Merced, CA 95340, or the Merced United Methodist Church endowment fund.
