Charles R. Baker
1878 - 1939

Charles R. Baker was born in May 1878, in Nebraska, the son of Ira and Ellen A. Baker; and he died in 1939, in Watsonville, Santa Cruz Co., California.

He lived most of his adult life in California except for a short time in Arizona.

Charles Baker married Josephine Magill on May 24, 1897, in San Bernardino County, California. Josephine was the daughter of John Marshall and Malinda J. (Patton) Magill. Charles and Josephine Baker had two sons and two daughters: Lawrence G., Charles D., Elma L., and Charlotte J.

Survivors include his wife Josephine, of Watsonville; and their four children.

He was buried in Pioneer Cemetery, in Watsonville, in the family plot where his mother, Ellen Baker, and his wife's mother were buried.
