Susie Saenz
1930 - 2007

Susie Saenz came to this earth May 25, 1930.

She was born in Tulare, CA, where she lived for 77 short years. Don't let that number fool you. She was young and beautiful.

She was called back to God with so much life left in her ~ there must have been something very important she has needed to do.

She was stronger than imaginable. You could regularly find her in aerobics class with Valarie and the ladies at the community center. She loved to share goodies and stories with them and we loved to hear them. Thank you ladies!

She gave more than she ever received. She showed her love with all that she did. She was a wife, a mother, and who we affectionately called "Granny". Her house was not filled with gold but her heart was. That is why her house was always full, the door always open and couches always full.

She has a huge family to match her heart. These are a few: Husband, Rumaldo Saenz; children, Rachel and husband, Eli DeLeon; Richard and wife, Terrie Saenz; Rocky and wife, Rachel Saenz; Rudy and wife, Lillian Saenz; Ronnie Saenz; Rebecca and husband, Ron Simental; Rommel Saenz and Regina Saenz; grandchildren, Michael and wife, Yolanda DeLeon; Elisha and Eli DeLeon; Eric, Megan, and Rhys Saenz; Dason and wife, Cassie Gonzales; Brennan and Anren Gonzales; Angela and husband, Michael Sigala; Arlene and husband, Ruben Martinez; Jordan Saenz; Joel and Jeslen Saenz; Melissa and husband, Alonzo Hernandez; Ronnie and wife, Elizabeth Simental; Stephanie Simental; Anthony and wife, Lori Saenz; Brittney Saenz; Athena and Cheyanne Saenz; great grandchildren, Desiree, Justeen and Sassy DeLeon; Izzy, Issiah and Chelcie Lopez; Danielle, Brianna and Victoria Sigala; little Rocky and Ruben Martinez; Marcus and Natalie Hernandez; and baby, Ronnie Simental. She had 12 brothers and sisters many from Bakersfield and so many more family members throughout California.

She was a mother to all, never turning anyone away. You could always find her in the kitchen. Even if there was nothing in the fridge she provided and served a meal as if you were a king.

She put up with Dad no matter how onery he was. She raised us as well as our children.

She has gone through the rough times, and there were many, as well as the good with grace and dignity. There has been no one like her nor will there be again. We have been blessed and now we must give her the honor she deserves. We raise her up to the Lord and praise her name.

Mom, we love you and release you to dance with God. You are free.

Visitation will be held Monday, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rita's Catholic Church. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Monday at 6 p.m. at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 954 So. O St., Tulare.
