© Tehachapi News Tehachapi, California Monday, 17 September 2007 Lila Ruth [Rickman] Loustaunau Tehachapi resident Lila Ruth Rickman Loustaunau, 80, passed away Aug. 22, 2007 at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Ak. A memorial service was held at the Tehachapi Community Congregational Church on Sept. 15. Reverend Diane Ryder officiated at the service. Ruth was born March 11, 1927 to parents John F. and Dora Marie Rickman, in Fillmore, Calif. She had varied interests and loved to learn. Ruth worked as a retail clerk and also was a licensed real estate agent working part time at Mission Viejo Lake as well as other offices. Ruth moved to Tehachapi in November of 2002 and quickly became involved in the community. She volunteered her time with the local Tomo Kahni preserve, attended the Tehachapi Community Congregational Church and committed many hours of her time to family tree research, helping many families to discover their ancestors and relatives, including her own. Ruth was also a licensed Graphologist (handwriting analyst) and occasionally used this talent entertaining on week long cruises. Ruth is survived by her children; son, Jeff and Jeane Maring, of Tehachapi; daughter, Lorraine and Jo Homs, of Mission Viejo; sisters Pat Reynolds and Faye Ables; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard "Buck" Rickman; sister Elizabeth Norris and daughter Gail Russell. Ruth will be interred at Bardsdale Cemetery in Fillmore. Witzleben Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Anchorage, Alaska handled the arrangements. Legacy.com
