Evelyn Parker Delacerda
October 27, 1931 - December 12, 2008




Memorial Services for Evelyn Parker Delacerda will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, December 20th 2008 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mary Evelyn LaCaze was born in Montrose, Louisiana October 27, 1931 to Felix LaCaze Jr. and Carline de la Cerda LaCaze. Evelyn passed away Friday, December 12, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Evelyn moved to the Muskogee area among family with her 3 children in 1957 to begin her career in the medical field. Evelyn retired as a unit clerk at Muskogee General Hospital after 23 years. After returning to Louisiana, she resumed working at the Bahm Medical Clinic, in Tioga, Louisiana for Dr. Grover C. Bahm as his assistant, Nursing Assistant and Board Certified Phlebotomist after completing her training in July 1988 at the International Academy of Phlebotomy Sciences, Inc in Baton Rouge.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Carline LaCaze and her brother Harold Joseph LaCaze. She is survived by two sons; Felix Drewett and daughter-in-law Denise Drewett of Elmer, Louisiana; Neal Drewett of Purcell, Oklahoma. Daughter; Rhonda Young and son-in-law Rick Young of Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Grandchildren include Benjamin Hulsey Campbell, currently serving his country in Iraq; Krysti Drewett Nail of Muskogee; Dee Ann Drewett of Muskogee; Trey Drewett, Brett Drewett and Jenna Drewett of Elmer, Louisiana; and Nikki and Morgan Drewett of Muskogee.

Great grandchildren include Dakota, Jarron, Ryland and Grace Nail. Evelyn is survived by her sisters; Lorene Brossett of Muskogee; Thelma Coutee of Chopin, Louisiana; Clara Jones and Jerry of Alexandria, Louisiana; Elouise Hall and husband, Richard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Linda McCain and husband, Lynn of Natchitoches, Louisiana. She is also survived by her brothers; Gifford LaCaze of San Diego, California; David LaCaze and wife, Patricia of Alexandria, Louisiana and Carroll LaCaze and wife, Willie of Tioga, Louisiana.

She also is survived by her cherished nieces, nephews and many friends who touched her heart in more ways than they ever will know. Evelyn’s final resting place will be at Emmanuel Cemetery, in Chopin, Louisiana on December 27, 2008. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Muskogee or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Muskogee Cremation and Funeral Service, 1325 North York, Muskogee, Oklahoma 74403.
