Virginia City, Madison Co, MT

Boot Hill was Virginia City's first cemetery and was located on top of a ridge overlooking the town. People were reluctant to place their loved ones next to the five road agents and many graves were soon mved to the New Cemetery. The Society of Montana Pioneers marked the five road agents' graves in 1907.
