Beck's Reformed Church
The Congregation Of Beck's Reformed Church Was
Organized In The Year Of Our Lord, 1787, Under
The Leadership Of The Rev. Mr. Schneider. The
First House Of Worship Was A Log Structure
Located In The Proximity Of This Marker
53 Acres Of Land Were Given On Nov. 3, 1787
By Dr. John Billings, L. Smith And Others.
To The Trustees Of The Lutheran And Reformed
Congregations, These Two Communions Worshipped
As A Union Church From That Time Until 1878.
In 1878 A Large Frame Church Was Built Some
200 Yds. North Of This Marker. This Building
Was Used Until The Present Church, A Brick
Structure, Located Some 300 Yds South Of This
Marker Was Dedicated To The Service Of The Lord
On July 22, 1951.
36 Ministers Have Labored In The Beck's Reformed
Congregation Since Its Organization. Pastor Now
Serving Being Rev. Horace Sills.
