Eldridge A. Lewis
Eldridge A. Lewis was born April 15, 1910, in Marlow, Stephens Co., Oklahoma. He was the son of Samuel Newton Lewis and Lora May (Ervin) Lewis.
While growing up, he worked on the family farm. Then he served in the U.S. Army during World War Two, from 1942 to 1945.
He moved to Salinas, California, where he worked as a mechanic for the Commercial Truck Company.
On December 14, 1968, in Reno, Washoe Co., Nevada, he married Agnes Clara (Gerdes) Brewer. They made their home in Salinas, California, and later moved to Wenatchee, Washington.
He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Moose Lodge in Salinas, California.
Eldridge A. Lewis died April 14, 1991, in Wenatchee, Washington, the day before his eighty-first birthday.
Survivors included his wife Agnes, and stepchildren including Mrs. Betty Williams of Wenatchee; and step grandchildren.
The funeral service was held in Wenatchee, and burial was at the Wenatchee City Cemetery, in Wenatchee, Chelan Co., Washington.
